Write to info@appcreador.com. Include your store's address (such as example.myshopify.com) and what you see, ideally with a screenshot.

In your Shopify admin, the app's Help screen (Apps > Smart Brand Page > Help) has the answers below too, in your admin's language.

Getting started

How do I set up the Brands page?

Follow the two steps on the home screen. The app creates the page for you; then you add the Brands block to your theme and click Save in the theme editor.

Do new brands appear automatically?

Yes. The page lists the vendors of your products each time it's viewed, so a brand appears as soon as a product has that vendor, and leaves the page when no product has it anymore.

Where do I see my Brands page?

Choose View Brands page at the top right of the home screen or the Brands screen. It opens in a new tab, as your customers see it.

Your brands

How do I leave a brand off the page?

On the Brands screen, switch on Hide in the brand's row, then save. Its products aren't affected.

Can I change how a brand's name is shown?

Yes. Click the name in its row and type the name to show, for example Levi's for LEVIS. The page sorts the brand by that name, and it still links to the vendor's products.

How do I add a logo?

Click the dashed square in the brand's row, or drop an image on it. Use a PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF image under 5 MB. The logo is kept in your Files and shows on the page after you save.

Can a brand link to a collection?

Yes. Create the collection in Shopify, then click the brand's link and enter its address, such as /collections/nike. Or switch on “Link brands to the collection with their name” on the Brands screen: every brand with a collection of the same name (/collections/nike for Nike) then links to it. Without either, a brand opens a search for its vendor's products.

What are featured brands?

Brands you star are shown as tiles above the A–Z list, up to 12. Change their order in the Featured brands section.

What does “No products” mean?

The brand still has settings saved, but no product has that vendor anymore. Choose the No products filter to remove their settings in one go.

How do I find brands without a logo, or with their own link?

On the Brands screen, the second filter next to the search lists brands by what's set for them: their own link, a display name, a logo or none, featured, or not saved yet. It combines with the first filter, so you can list, say, hidden brands without a logo. The “Hide … matching” and “Show … matching” buttons then change them all at once.

How many brands, links and logos can I have?

The Brands screen warns you when you get close to one of these, and won't save what doesn't fit.

The page and its look

How do I change how the page looks?

In the theme editor, select the Brands block on your Brands page. You can choose a list or tiles, columns, logos, colours, corner roundness, the tile style, the letter bar and search. To go back to the default look, see Reset the look in the Danger zone of Page settings.

Can I change the page's address?

Yes, on the Page settings screen. Keep the redirect box ticked so old links keep working. That's also where you set how the page appears in search results.

I switched themes and the list is gone.

Blocks belong to a theme. Add the Brands block to the new theme with step 2 on the home screen.

Something's not right

A brand isn't on the page.

Check that it isn't hidden on the Brands screen and that at least one product has it as vendor. Changes can take a few minutes to show on your storefront.

The list shows twice, or not at all.

The home screen checks your theme. If it warns about copies, remove the extra Brands blocks in the theme editor. If the list is missing, add the block again with step 2.

The theme editor says “Liquid templates don't support sections and blocks”.

The template your Brands page uses can't hold app blocks. If your theme is an Online Store 2.0 theme, create a page template in the theme editor, assign it to the Brands page under Content › Pages, and add the block again with step 2. Older themes can't hold app blocks at all; the home screen says which case yours is.

Saving says brands need fixing.

A brand has a name or link that can't be saved, such as a link with a space in it. Choose Show them in the message to list just those brands, fix the fields marked in red, then save again.

Saving says someone else saved changes.

Your brands were changed in another tab, or by another staff member, after you opened the screen. Reload to see those changes, then make yours again.

How do I start over?

For your brands, use Reset all brands at the bottom of the Brands screen. Page settings has resets for the search listing and for everything at once, and explains how to reset the look. Each asks you to type a word first, because it can't be undone.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

The list disappears and the app's settings are removed. The Brands page itself stays, so delete it under Online Store > Pages if you don't need it.
